The Houthis have claimed responsibility for the attack in the UAE – they warn of new attacks

Yemeni Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for an earlier attack near Abu Dhabi International Airport that killed three people when an equal number of tankers exploded.

“The (Houthi) armed forces carried out a successful military operation as part of Operation Hurricane Yemen,” their spokesman, Yahya Sari, said in a statement broadcast on Al Massira television. “Many locations and important and sensitive facilities” in the Emirates were targeted with five ballistic missiles and several unmanned aircraft, he added.

The Houthi movement warned that it would target other locations in the UAE and called on civilians and foreign companies to avoid the “vital facilities” of the Emirates.

According to the Houthis, today rockets and unmanned aerial vehicles were launched against Abu Dhabi and Dubai airports, against a refinery in the Musafah area of Abu Dhabi and against other “sensitive” targets.
