The headquarters of the American armed forces responsible for the Middle East region (US Central Command or CENTCOM) confirmed today the strike on the Greek-owned merchant ship Transworld Navigator, which was announced yesterday Sunday by Yahya Sharia, the representative of the Houthi rebels of Yemen. In the CENTCOM update it is stated that the Greek-owned M/V Transworld Navigator under the flag of Liberia was hit around 4 am on Sunday by a Houthi drone, the crew reported “minor injuries and limited damage”, but continued its journey. It is also underlined that it was the fourth time that this particular ship was attacked by the Houthis. Yahya Sharia had also announced that the Houthis launched a missile attack against the Stolt Sequoia ship in the Indian Ocean.
