The Houthis targeted two ships in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for two attacks on merchant ships, causing only material damage to one of them, according to Britain’s maritime security agency UKMTO. Houthi spokesman Yahya Shari said eleven ballistic missiles and two drones hit the Olympic Spirit, which he called an “American tanker”. Earlier, the UKMTO reported that a ship was “hit by an unknown projectile” and “damaged” while sailing in the Red Sea. There was no fire and no casualties were reported. “The ship is heading to its next port,” he added.
