On December 23, Huawei will officially unveil the Watch D smartwatch – the world’s first wearable device that allows not only measuring heart rate and blood oxygenation, but also recording an ECG. Moreover, there is a function for measuring blood pressure. And the extended set of Watch D is connected with it.

The watch is equipped with a tape for measuring the girth of the wrist and two straps with a built-in cuff – similar to a conventional tonometer, only much more compact. Depending on the girth of the wrist, the user is instructed to use either a size L or size M cuff strap.

The process of measuring pressure also looks interesting – it is well illustrated in the picture below. The user needs to take a sitting position with the feet straight. The hand with the watch on the wrist should be positioned at the height of the heart, with the other hand supporting it by the elbow. In general, when measuring blood pressure, 24/7 monitoring is no longer discussed, unlike heart rate.

According to new data, Huawei Watch D will receive 32 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal flash memory. It was mentioned earlier that the device is powered by HarmonyOS.
