The infallible tool to cover regrowth

Not to be believed if you don’t try. A small tool that we all have at home can be the turning point for perfect coverage of regrowth in a do-it-yourself regime. I say this because I really tried it. During an interview with the hairstylist Roberto Carminati, hairdresser of the stars, including Antonella Clerici, Massimiliano Rosolino and Natalia Titova, Alessandra Martines and Roberta Capua, this gem emerged that I feel I must share for the good of humanity of the workaholics of the tint.

The revelation came just the day when I had to draw on to cover the white regrowth of my hair, because unlike the Queen of Spain, Letizia Ortiz, whom I admire very much, I cannot be #hairpositive and show myself in direct Ig (and it is clear not to go out, because I don’t go anywhere in times of covid), with the white regrowth in sight.

Roberto told me that the best way to cover gray hair without adding color to the rest of the hair is to use a old toothbrush to delicately spread the color on the white part, starting from the roots.

No sooner said than done. I practiced the trick and without affecting the shade of the lengths, which I finally managed to bring back to a certain uniform – thanks to a decappage performed by the hairdresser to remove the DIY lockdown shades – I hid the detachment of color from regrowth. Result? Professional and with millimeter precision, as if it had been made by the expert hand of the hairdresser.

In a video posted on YouTube Roberto Carminati shows on his wife’s head how to use the toothbrush to make the hair dye at home and recommends using it above all to distribute the color evenly and precisely on the hairline, the most tricky part, where those impertinent silver threads that ruin the final picture always escape the color.

Look here.

Seeing is believing. I tried, even before watching the video, relying on my intuition and my manual skills and now I believe in it. Nevermore without.
