The infections run. Three more orange regions on Monday

The infections run and, unfortunately, it is an exponential growth. Not only, all the other indicators, hospitalizations and intensive care are also increasing.

Eight regions posted a four-digit increase with the Lombardy that exceeds 4,000 infections, almost a thousand of which only in Brescia.

In the face of these data we cannot joke: and therefore, Piedmont, Lombardy and Marche, which have already created several red areas located within the region, leave the yellow area and from Monday 1 March they should enter the orange band.

Umbria and Tuscany at the moment remain with the red zones localized.

Bologna comes in dark orange with closure of all schools. Furthermore, it is also possible that among the regions already in the orange zone, some are to be relegated to the red zone. Only Friuli, Veneto, Val d’Aosta, Puglia, Calabria, Basilicata, Lazio, Sicily will remain in yellow.

To see if the control room will sanction the white zone for Sardinia, the only one to have less than 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants and a low risk for three consecutive weeks, albeit with some cases of the English variant.

The decision will come today, but based on RT and risk calculated by evaluating 21 indicators, the Higher Institute of Health and the ministry should sanction the change.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, will sign the ordinance that will change the rules from Monday and no longer from Sunday, as confirmed by the Minister for Regional Affairs, Maria Stella Gelmini, to the governors.
