Apple released the iPhone 12 line in fall 2020, redesigning the iconic iPhone 4 with a metal bezel. Now they have a flaw.

More precisely, the lower-end models iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini have a flaw, which are equipped with an aluminum frame, unlike the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max with a steel frame.
The thematic Slovak resource SvetApple drew attention to the problem and published a photo with a frame that had lost its previous bright red color on the iPhone 12 in the (Product) Red version. This smartphone was purchased by the editors in November 2020 and was used for work purposes. As the author of Svetapple notes, the smartphone would be protected by a transparent case from the very first day after purchase and would not be used in a “toxic” environment and would not come into contact with aggressive substances.
On the official Apple forum discussing the company’s products, there are many such complaints. However, there are not only problematic iPhones 12, but also iPhone 11s with iPhone SE 2020, in which aluminum parts of the case also fade.
