Loop Capital Markets analyst John Donovan, citing his own informants, claims that the new iPhone SE 3 (2022) smartphone with 5G support will cost from $300.
Recall that the current 4G iPhone SE 2 (2020) starts at $400, while the iPhone SE 3 (2022) will have the most advanced processor, support for fifth-generation networks, and better battery life than its predecessor. By comparison, Apple’s most affordable 5G smartphone currently costs $600. It’s an iPhone 12 mini, with the iPhone 13 mini starting at $700.
Why is Apple planning to enter the $300 smartphone market? Analysts at JPMorgan suggested back in December 2021 that Apple wanted its new iPhone to spark a shift away from Android smartphones. Such a price can lure a huge number of users from another camp.

As for the specs of the iPhone SE 3 (2022), it is expected to feature the Apple A15 Bionic SoC, 4.7-inch display, Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and a single rear camera. iPhone SE 3 (2022) will not support MagSafe wireless charging. Instead, the device will only support conventional Qi wireless charging, introduced with the iPhone 8.
The iPhone SE 3 (2022) is expected to be unveiled at Apple’s annual spring presentation. Rumors and leaks indicate that it will take place on March 8, 2022.
