L’Island of the Famous change day, at least for regarding the second weekly appointment which, from the beginning of the program to today, always fell on Thursday. From next week, in fact, when the show ends Happy evening of Pio and Amedeo, the reality show hosted by Ilary Blasi could move to Friday both to return to the live broadcast (for two weeks the episode ofIsola on Thursday was recorded to avoid overlap with Survivors, the Spanish version of the program which has the same location as the Italian one) both to try to let the listening catch up of an edition that is struggling not only to find strong dynamics, but also to find new footholds.
The entrance of Ignazio Moser, a strong name and not new to the reality genre, was designed precisely to try to attract attention to a ‘Isola who is giving up his strong points – like Vera Gemma, eliminated during the episode of April 26 – to retain elements that add little or nothing to the narrative and that offer three commentators in the studio, namely Tommaso Zorzi, Iva Zanicchi and Elettra Lamborghini, very little material to (un) speak of. It remains that trying to do something to save the shack, also due to the investment by Mediaset and Banijay Italia, is a not insignificant urgency.
If the Thursday appointment, also due to considerable competition, had seen a progressive decline in spectators, the last episode aired on April 26 recorded the negative record of this edition with 2.8 million viewers tuned to Canale 5, equal to a 17.4% share (on the other hand the Raiuno fiction with Vittoria Puccini The Fugitive instead, it won 5,311,000 spectators and 22.2%). It is logical, at this point, to expect that theIsola you play all your cards to regain ground and the fact of having invited Giulia Salemi and Asia Argento as commentators on the sidelines in the last episode was proof of this.
