The Island of the Famous 2022: from Ilona Staller to the Cousins ​​of the Countryside, the complete cast

Many names already seen and some, very few, to discover. The cast of the new edition of The Island of the Famous , kicks off on Monday 21 March in prime time on Canale 5tries to start again using a double formula: that of the castaways who compete alone and that of the castaways who compete in pairs, one found like any other to resell the interest in a program that, at least on paper, seems to look with a a bit of nostalgia for the very first editions, those from Rai. Not only for the desire to call Nicola Savino and Vladimir Luxuria – respectively tenant and correspondent of the last Island of public service – as commentators, but also to choose to involve three castaways who have asserted themselves in Honduras as Antonio Zequila, Lory Del Santo and Carmen Di Pietrowith the latter who, however, on this tour will share the adventure together with their partner Marco Cucolo (Lory and Marco have already participated in Beijing Express) and with his son Alessandro Iannoni.

Together with them among the couples we also find the (double) ex gieffina Guendalina Tavassi together with her brother Edoardo; the Countryside cousinsfresh from the controversy with the Måneskin for having copied (!) their looks; Jeremias – that we have already met at Big Brother Vip – And Gustavo Rodriguez, respectively brother and father of Belén; and, last but not least, Clemente Russo, expelled with ignominy from GF for a very unhappy sentence addressed to Simona Ventura, and his wife Laura Maddaloni. On the other hand, the following will compete alone: Ilona Staller, perhaps the most interesting name of this edition as well as representing the Rocco Siffredi and Malena share that had worked so well at the first edition of The Island of the Famous Mediaset license plate; the rapper Blind known to X Factor; the actor Nicolas Vaporidis; the former gieffina Floriana Seconds; Jovana Djordjevicmodel and wife of former Chievo footballer Filip Djordjevic; Estefania Bernal, Argentine model who participated in the latest edition of Jokes aside with Enrico Papi; the Brazilian model Roger Balduino; the former Moto GP world champion Marco Melandri, who had generated discussion on the Net for having said that he was infected with Covid of his will, and the showgirl Roberta Morise.

Potentially strong names that, however, leave more than a doubt. Why, for example, involve Melandri in the light of his statements on Covid, supporting the same choice that led the production to hire Daniela Martani, convinced no-vax, in 2021? Why, then, choose to call Clemente Russo, a decidedly controversial character who in the past did not spare himself ungenerous phrases towards the female gender? Doubts remaineven if the presence of Savino and Luxuria as commentators a little reassures us, together with the welcome confirmation of Ilary Blasi which, since last year, she has managed to model The Island of the Famous adapting it to his style and temperament. We do not know if this edition – che will see the return of Alvin as a correspondent in place of Massimiliano Rosolino – it will give us satisfaction, but it is logical at least to keep the benefit of the doubt, ready to surprise us.
