The ISM for services falls to 55.3 in February and is below the 58.7 forecast

The ISM services index has fallen more than three points in February, falling to 55.3 from 57.7 in January, being the worst result recorded in nine months, specifically since May 2020. The figure has also disappointed the market consensus, which expected a rise to 58.7.

The index ISM non-manufacturing employment has fallen to 52.7 from 55.2, although it has improved the 51.7 predicted by the experts.

The ISM of new service orders is down almost 10 points, falling to 51.9 from 61.8, its worst figure since May 2020, also standing below the 55.4 estimated by the market.

Finally, the ISM of prices paid has risen to 71.8 from 64.2, improving the 64.7 forecast.
