The Japanese authorities forced their manufacturers to stop working in Russia

Russian Ambassador to Japan Mikhail Galuzin said on the Russia 24 TV channel that the Japanese authorities actually forced some automakers to announce the suspension of activities in Russia.

Mikhail Galuzin noted that almost all automobile companies that have production facilities in Russia explained the suspension of production of cars by problems with production, logistics, lack of components, and so on. But the main reason is not named.

In fact, in my opinion, we are talking about the fact that the local business is subjected to quite serious pressure on the curtailment of activities in Russia.

The Japanese authorities forced their manufacturers to stop working in Russia

The Japanese government, he said, decided to ban investments in the Russian economy. Thus, an extremely negative signal is sent to Japanese business. The ambassador added that only production has been suspended so far, but the enterprises themselves in Russia have not been closed.

Mitsubishi Motors stopped car production in Russia last week. Today it became known that the Japanese Komatsu stopped the production of equipment at the plant in Yaroslavl and deliveries to Russia.
