A lot can happen in a live broadcast. From rude passersby shouting to get the 10 seconds of publicity they (don’t) deserve until delinquent attitudes mainly towards women reporters. This time, however, a cyclist had a very painful accident in a live broadcast of 10 News First.
Channel 10 reporter Anne-Marie Leonard gave the morning news of the aftermath of a fire at a linen factory in Perth, Western Australia, when a cyclist in the background he fell awkwardly and hit his groin on the steering wheel of his bicycle.
The excerpt of the tragic incident was immortalized and shared on page 10 News First on Instagram. “A painful moment in the news last night”, the caption of the post read with the hashtags: “#perth”, “#bikefail” and “#ohno”
The young man is seen in the video slowing down and falling behind the wheel of his bicycle due to the momentum. The grimace he makes from the pain is also indicative of the intensity of his sensitive area with the bicycle.
The blunders on the channel are familiar
This is not the first time that an awkward moment has been captured by the Channel 10 Perth team.
