The cryptoanalyst under the pseudonym Zachxbt exposed a large-scale fraudulent scheme in which a resident of New York Christian Nevo (known as Daytwo or Pawsonhips) deceived Coinbase users more than $ 4 million, impersoning the exchange of exchanging support.
The scheme worked through a fake call center, where victims were forced to create wallets on phishing sites with already introduced malicious SEED-framents.
According to him, one of the cases occurred in November 2024, when the user of the elderly stole $ 240,000. Daytwo employee named Pranoia (Justin), as well as audio and video reporting, which Zachxbt posted into open access, is mentioned in exposure.
The cryptodate was noted that these funds were divided into three parts: one – to the deposit in the Roobet casino, the other was converted into anonymous cryptocurrency XMR (Monero).
Zachxbt showed how Neva washed the funds through Roobet, while openly boasted by prey in Discord chats. In particular, he bought Corvette and pasted a sticker with his Instagram names of Daytw00000, which directly connects his real person with pseudonyms that he used in scams.
He also repeatedly mocked the cryptoanalyst, posting a photo in which he shows the middle finger towards the Zachxbt account in X (previously Twitter), and made this a cover for Instagram storosis.
Despite the scale of fraud, the return of funds is unlikely, since most of them the attacker lost in gambling. Neva is not a minor, so the case can be a light target for law enforcement officers.
