The official statement of the project participants says that the joint initiative called “One Wallet, One Journey” will allow tourists to use cryptocurrencies to pay for almost all services related to traveling in Butan, including tickets, visas, accommodation, transport and excursions.
Integration with Binance Pay will provide foreign guests with the opportunity to make quick and safe transactions through the exchange mobile application. At the same time, payments will automatically convert to local currency, which will ensure the convenience of calculations for both tourists and local service providers.
DK Bank, the first digital bank of Butana, will support the payment infrastructure of the project, which will make cryptocurrency payments throughout the country.
Earlier, Prime Minister Butan Tshering Tobgay called the governments of all countries of the world to actively develop bitcoin mining, calling this a strategic step to strengthen national economies.
