In the Syktyvdinsky district of the Komi Republic, it is planned to build one of the largest mining centers in Russia. According to the press service of the head of the republic, the agreement was concluded as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025.

According to the chairman of the Komi Government Dmitry Bratynenko, the cryptocurrency mining center will provide additional revenues to the region’s budget and will create new jobs.

“We see here an example of using our resources, when raw materials are not just sold, but becomes the basis for the development of new, modern technologies in the Komi,” Bratynenko said.

The center will operate on its own electricity developed from local natural gas. The investor of Integrator Komi LLC together with UK Megapolis-Invest LLC will build not only the data processing center (data center) with a capacity of 114 MW, but also its own gas piston power plant for its power.

The representative of the UK MEGAPOPEPOP-Invest company Gasan Mustafaev noted that mining will be carried out on gas piston installations. A cluster using energy resources and a cold climate of the region, which is as suitable for the activities of computing equipment, will appear near Syktyvkar.

Earlier, specialists of the Akra rating agency said that Khakassia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be the most profitable regions for mining this year, regardless of the obligation to register in the register of cryptocurrency production operators.
