British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and the leaders of the US, France and Germany stressed today, in a telephone conversation they had, that it is important to ensure the safety of Ukraine’s nuclear facilities, Downing Street announced.
“In their telephone call, Prime Minister (Johnson), President (US Joe) Biden, President (France Emmanuel) Macron and Chancellor (Germany Olaf) Scholz underlined their unwavering commitment to support the Ukraine against the invasion of Russia,” according to the British Prime Minister’s spokesman.
“They stressed the importance of ensuring the safe (operation) and security of nuclear facilities and welcomed the recent talks that made it possible to send the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the Zaporizhia facility,” he added.
