The lightest indestructible LG Gram 2021 laptops with Tiger Lake processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics are presented

Ahead of the 2021 Consumer Electronic Show, LG unveiled a new line of LG Gram 2021 laptops, which should be the lightest in its class.

In total, the line includes five models, a 14-inch laptop weighs 999 g, and the weight of the older 17-inch model is 1350 g. Do not worry about autonomy, these laptops are equipped with rechargeable batteries with a capacity of 72 to 80 Wh. The lightweight magnesium alloy of the body allowed to reduce the weight.

Important changes are implemented in the new line. Firstly, all new models are equipped with 16:10 format displays, while the screens are surrounded by very narrow frames on all sides. LG also said the screens provide 99 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space.

Another major innovation is the use of 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake processors. These 10nm processors are paired with the powerful Intel Iris Xe GPU. In addition, they got 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and slots for M.2 Dual SSD (NVMe). It is also worth noting the presence of USB 4 Gen3x2 ports (USB PD, Thunderbolt 4), USB 3.2 Gen2, HDMI, microSD / UFS.

All laptops meet the requirements of the American military standard MIL-STD 810, that is, they are shockproof, support DTS X Ultra and Wi-Fi 6, have a built-in fingerprint reader, and some models also support a stylus.

LG did not specify when these new laptops will go on sale or how much they will cost.
