Judging by the designation, the laptop will receive a screen with a diagonal of 12.4 inches. The Arm platform can do without active cooling, which suggests that the Notebook S 12.4 will be the thinnest and lightest Xiaomi laptop.
Alas, the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2’s performance isn’t great. In fact, it is even lower than the Snapdragon 888, which, in general, is critical for a laptop. Why Xiaomi did not use the more modern Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 in the device, as Lenovo did in its ThinkPad X13s Gen 1, is a question. However, due to the use of the old platform, the price should also be lower: if the cost of the ThinkPad X13s Gen 1 starts at $ 1,100, then the price of Xiaomi Notebook S 12.4 will be lower by at least a few hundred dollars.
