The Ministry of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation has published a draft order with a list of socially significant applications that will be placed in the domestic RuStore store without fail. It is expected that such applications will allow Russians to receive the necessary public services, as well as solve everyday issues.
At the moment, there are only four applications on the list:
- “Public Services”;
- “Gosuslugi Avto”;
- “Public Services Culture”;
- “Government services. Let’s decide together.”
The list of applications required for RuStore will expand over time in agreement with business and various departments. The Ministry of Digital Development also noted that these programs are not mandatory for installation on mobile devices, each user decides for himself.
The domestic RuStore app store for the Android platform was launched on May 25 by VK and other IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development. At the moment, a beta version of the service is available to users.
