On all the agendas of cinephile fashionistas, the appointment at the Venice Film Festival was Saturday 4 September with the presentation, world premiere in the Giornata degli Autori section, by I and the stupid boy directed by Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania. A film that thus becomes the Miu Miu Women’s Tales # 22 (also presented the 21st short of the series, Shangri-La directed by Isabel Sandoval, which debuted digitally on February 23).
Women’s Tales is a series of short films created by Miu Miu that provides all the clothes featured in the films. The label has always commissioned two films a year since 2011: one for the summer collection and one for the winter collection. “Costumes are a very powerful tool in film, as are sets and lighting,” said director Ben Hania.
Invariably dressed from head to toe Miu Miu also the guests present at the dinner organized by the brand in the evening: a parade of mise total black (to see Cynthia Erivo) O total white (come KiKi Lane) and in the variant black & white (choice of Rebecca Ferguson), colors have always been at the forefront of palette of the young Prada brand.
Minidresses, bon ton collars, wide skirts and crop tops to which the male guests responded in noteworthy Prada total looks. Like Rami Malek, basic but chic in a printed T-shirt, classic trousers and shiny moccasins. And naturally, Timothée Chalamet, that whatever you wear turns it into an object of desire. For the event, the super star, the fashionist king of Cannes and now Venice, chose a blue neoprene jacket paired with a turtleneck pullover and black trousers, as well as a series of Cartier rings that sealed the fresh announcement of having been chosen as Friend of the House from the legendary French jewelry house.
