The decision for this new move of the prime minister was reportedly discussed and adopted, during the morning coffee at the beginning of the week and before the start of the two-day visit to London.

And Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with his message that will be transmitted, probably early in the afternoon, is expected to move in three main axes:

– It will describe the course of the country until Christmas, focusing on the observance of the measures that have already been announced and are being implemented. – It will focus again on strengthening the national health system, especially in those areas with the highest epidemiological burden. As in previous waves of the pandemic, the government is now working with the private sector to treat non-Covid and Covid cases in private clinics. At the same time, incentives are offered to private doctors, in order to temporarily support the health system. Unless the emergency needs are met immediately, there will be a request for the services of private doctors of specific specialties, with the ongoing negotiations being marathons, while to date about 40 doctors have been found voluntarily in northern Greece.

– It will place particular emphasis on the need to increase vaccination coverage. Whether it is related to the first installments or to the commemorative ones, expressing his satisfaction for the rise of the rhythms of “Eleftheria”, as it is reflected in the data of the last days. 69,416 vaccinations.

According to information, in his televised message, the prime minister will make a special reference to the commemorative dose of the age group of 65 and over, as this category of citizens has the highest chances of getting Covid-19.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in this context, may announce that the commemorative installment for those over 65 will be a condition for the renewal of the digital certificate, within a specific period of time after the lapse of six months.
