The Dutch “super-donor”, who claims to have fathered 550 children through sperm donation, has threatened to take legal action against the Netflix platform over its hit documentary, “The Man with a Thousand Children”, which he describes as “impressionistic”. Jonathan Meier, who declined to participate in the documentary, told public broadcaster NPO1 on Tuesday that the program was not based on accurate evidence. The documentary says the 43-year-old donor has fathered up to 3,000 children, a number he disputes. “550 is the number I know for sure. Everything else is speculation,” he said. “For this reason I am appealing to justice, to fight the lies” and to withdraw the documentary from the platform, he added. Last year, a court banned Meier from continuing to donate sperm.
