The message on a glass given by a Starbucks employee to a young woman who was in danger and went viral

Being able to have your eyes and ears open while working at the same time is a huge qualification. And especially at a time when dangers lurk everywhere. An employee at Starbucks at the Corpus Christi in Texas, USA, proved to be both observant and perceptive in dealing with a potentially difficult situation involving a young client.

The apotheosis is known from the world on social media but also from the mother of a teenager, the barista who reacted immediately and in a peculiar way, in order to help the young girl.

The girl was sitting alone at Starbucks when a stranger approached her harassedwith the 18-year-old being clearly negative about having any conversation with him while he was dangerously stubborn.

How the message reached the girl

The worker did not make a scene or make a fuss. So he quietly wrote a message to glass and gave it to the teenage girl, telling her it was a free drink from the store.

The girl’s mother said: “My 18-year-old daughter was at Starbucks alone that night. A man approached her and started talking to her. A barista gave her an extra hot chocolate that – supposedly – someone forgot to get. How grateful I am for the people who care about others! “

The mother then shared the photo of the glass with the famous message that the employee had written on it: “Are you okay? Do you want us to intervene? “If you need it, take the lid off the glass,” the message read.

Fortunately, the 18-year-old felt that the situation was under control and the Starbucks team did not need to intervene, but she and her mother were still moved by their support. “She felt safe and did not remove the lid, but alerted them. “She said that as soon as she looked up, she saw the whole group of workers under her supervision and ready to intervene,” Roberson explained.
