The American actress Anya Taylor-Joy 28, stated that he will be in the third film of the franchise “Dune” by Denis Villeneuve. Entitled “The Messiah of Dune” production should begin recording in 2026.
“Yes, the film is being made and I’m very excited to be a part of it . I’m a big fan of everyone who is part of this project and I simply can’t wait,” she said in an interview with Collider during CCXP24.
The star of “The Queen’s Gambit” (2020) and “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” (2024), however, did not reveal how much screen time he will have in the sequel. In the second film, she made a surprise appearance for a few minutes.
Recently, the director commented that “Dune” will not be a trilogy. “First, it’s important that people understand that for me it was really a diptych. It was really a pair of films that was an adaptation of the first book. This is done and ready,” he said.
“If I do a third, which is in the writing process, it won’t be like a trilogy. It’s strange to say, but if I go back there, it’s to do something that feels different and has its own identity,” he continued. He had also already stated that the third will be the last part of the franchise.
