At a time when fierce fighting is raging in Ukraine, its foreign minister Germany, Annalena Burbock, is expected to discuss how she could hold him accountable war in Ukraine the president of Russia Vladimir Putin today in The Hague. However, in relation to a country attacking another, the court cannot act, partly because the Russian Federation is not a state party. This was one of the reasons that the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky called for the establishment of a special international court at its General Assembly UN in September.
