The Congress of Deputies approved the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) last June to guarantee a minimum monthly income to all citizens, until reaching a threshold of 462 euros, at an especially difficult time for many households due to the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The benefit could be requested from June 15 and the collection has retroactive effect from June 1.

After four months since its approval, the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations has registered a total of 13,520 applications from the province of Castellón, of which 1,136 are duplicate files, so the global figure amounts to 12,384 applications with data up to October.

AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL

The rate of resolution of the applications for Minimum Vital Income (IMV) at the national level is practically identical to that registered in the province of Castellon, since a third of the files have also been resolved via lidos processed, reports the Ministry.

Furthermore, in the same way as in the province of Castellón, most of the files that have been analyzed have been denied: an average of 58% in Spain compared to 60% in Castellón.
