The authorities made the announcement on USA a video with what unfolded inside a New York home in April 2022, when police officers shot and killed 34-year-old Jamie Faith who he drew a knife.
The tragic incident occurred on April 29, 2022, when police were notified of domestic violence. The police officers upon arriving home they tried to calm the 34-year-old woman who lived with her partner and their three young children. During the discussion that followed between the 34-year-old and policemen the woman suddenly displayed one knife and tried, according to them two uniformed men to stab them. “knife, knife” one of the police officers is heard shouting while they tell the 34-year-old to throw it away. However, when the 34-year-old does not seem to obey their orders, then one of the policemen is heard to he shouts “shoot her”.
Finally one of the two policemen shoots four times and the 34-year-old woman falls dead from his gunfire. During the episode her partner can be heard shouting at the police “don’t shoot her c@@@». The video ends with the woman’s partner appealing to the police not to kill him.
