The Moon in a dazzling photo 174 MB – Its texture and colors are visible

American astrophotographers Andrew McCarthy and Connor Matherne created a dazzling photo of it Moon from 250,000 shots. Combining their skills the 174MB photo is a detailed impression of texture and color the Earth’s only natural satellite.

They met several years ago on Reddit and shared their love of astrophotography. Recently, for nine months, they worked tirelessly to offer the public a new view of the Moon. McCarthy, who specializes in detail, spent an evening taking 200,000 shots of the Moon from Arizona. Matherne, who specializes in color, he shot another 50,000 shots from Louisiana. They then worked closely together to compose the photo, branding the project “The Hunt for Artemis».

“One thing we practically experimented with was different methods of capturing color and seeing which resulted in a better photo, so in practice we ended up with two color photos. However, one was clearly better than the other so that’s the one we ended up using and will continue to use in the future,” Matherne told My Modern Met. “The color in this photo is real, but it appears more saturated, so it’s easy for our eyes to see,” added McCarthy, according to APE-MPE.
