The 2024 Critics Choice Awards announced the award nominees in the streaming and television production categories this Tuesday (5). “The Morning Show”, from Apple TV+, leads the nominations, with six in total.
The series starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon is followed by the drama “Succession”, from HBO Max. The series about the rich family and tycoon received five nominations in total. “Abbott Elementary” (ABC), “The Bear” (FX), “Treta” (Netflix), “A Question of Chemistry” (Apple TV+), “Loki” (Disney+), “Reservation Dogs” (FX) and “ A Small Light” (National Geographic) appear tied for the highest number of nominations, with four each.
Other highlights are “The Crown” and “The Last of Us”. Tom Holland (“The Crowded Room”), Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show”) and Meryl Streep (“Only Murders in the Building”) are some of the nominated actors.
Among television platforms and networks, HBO/HBO Max is the leader with 23 nominations, followed by Netflix, with 21. Apple TV+ and FX appear third in the ranking, with 16 series nominated each.
The awards ceremony for TV’s biggest names takes place on January 14, 2024. The Critics Choice Awards film nominations will be revealed on December 13.
