The SberAuto service team conducted a study and spoke about the aspirations of motorists in Russia in the New Year. As the study showed, every fifth Russian (22%) hopes that the deficit will end in the very near future.
At the same time, the most anticipated novelties were the new models of the Korean company Kia, the domestic Lada and the Chinese Geely. SberAuto experts explained:
The most anticipated premiere of the year was the fifth generation Kia Sportage model – the start of sales, scheduled for the first half of the year, is expected by 15% of respondents. About 13% of respondents reported that they expect the facelifted version of Lada Vesta to appear on the market, the teaser of which AvtoVAZ presented on video at the beginning of the year.
In third place is Geely KX11 with 11% of those interested, in fourth place is the Kia EV6 electric crossover (9%), and in fifth place is Skoda Karoq (9%).
The survey also showed that the majority of Russians believe in the strengthening of the positions of Chinese cars – 55% of respondents spoke in favor of this trend in the automotive market. 31% expect an increase in online sales, and 25% – an increase in interest in car loans.
