Recently, pocket gaming computers have become popular, which are comparable in performance to modern laptops and allow you to play a wide variety of games, but at the same time have a very compact form factor.
Known for handhelds such as the GPD Win 3 and GPD Win Max, GPD has announced the GPD Win Max 2. This is a 14-core Intel Alder Lake gaming laptop that will compete with the Steam Deck.

The GPD Win Max 2 features a 10-inch 1920 x 1200 or 2560 x 1600 resolution display, which is a big jump considering its predecessor had an 8-inch 1280 x 800 resolution screen. Win Max 2 dimensions have increased from 207 x 145 to 228 x 160 mm. GPD mentions that they have managed to keep the device compact with much narrower screen bezels on all sides.
GPD has also shared an official sketch of the device, which is shown in a very simplified form without the keyboard and other controls. GPD has stated that they will reveal more details about the device closer to the release date.
The GPD Win Max 2 is equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i7-1280P processor which has 14 cores and 20 threads. The processor is overclocked to 4.80GHz and has 24MB of smart cache. The device will also support up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD in one of two M.2 slots.

The device also features a 65 Wh battery, four surround sound speakers, one Thunderbolt 4 port, 3 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an integrated webcam, and a backlit QWERTY keyboard.
We are waiting for the emergence of new details.
