The most powerful smartphone platform just got stronger. MediaTek prepares overclocked SoC Dimensity 9000 to compete with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+

The current Dimensity 9000 easily outperforms Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (in AnTuTu and Geekbench benchmarks), but Qualcomm is preparing a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. And, according to rumors, this SoC could be released as early as May. MediaTek is not going to give up, so the overclocked Dimensity 9000 will be the answer to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+.

What will change in the overclocked Dimensity 9000? The insider only talks about increasing the frequency of the Cortex-X2 supercore from 3.05 to 3.2 GHz. Interestingly, according to rumors, Qualcomm will do the same with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, so after the release of both of these platforms, the status quo (in favor of MediaTek) will apparently continue.

Digital Chat Station is a reliable informant. Previously, he was the first to accurately announce the characteristics and release dates of Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
