Samsung Electronics has begun rolling out a major One UI 3.1 update based on the latest Android 11 operating system for two Galaxy A series smartphones, the Galaxy A80 and Galaxy A40.

Galaxy A80 (review) can safely claim the title of the most unusual Samsung smartphone without a flexible screen – it is equipped with a rotating camera. The firmware numbered A805FXXU5DUC7 has already started to be distributed in Europe. The model originally debuted in 2019 ran on Android 9 Pie. The Galaxy A40 smartphone received the A405FNXXU3CUC2 firmware in Europe.

In addition to the standard One UI 3.1 innovations, the update also brings the March 2021 Android security update.
The One UI 3.1 update brings users a range of camera capabilities for shooting and editing shots, as well as new smart features for everyday life. Among the innovations – Private Share (a function that determines who is allowed access to the sent content and for how long), Eye Comfort Shield (automatically adjusts blue light depending on the time of day), removal of location metadata from photos, automatic switching of Galaxy Buds headphones from one Galaxy device to another, and so on.
