The Mutua Madrileña Foundation grants one million euros to 36 projects and social organizations

The Madrid Mutual Foundation has granted one million euros in aid to 36 social projects of various non-profit organizations. As every year, the Foundation launched its Annual Call for Grants for Social Action Projects, which is now in its ninth edition.

The 36 projects were selected from the more than 800 that were presented framed within one of the seven categories established in the call: support for people with disabilities, initiatives to fight against gender violence, aid to childhood with health problems and / or at risk of exclusion, labor integration of young people at risk of social exclusion, social and economic consequences of Covid-19 in vulnerable people (homeless people, the elderly and vulnerable families), development cooperation and innovation Social.

“All beneficiary initiatives are aimed at improving the quality of life of various vulnerable groups,” explains the Foundation. There are them both within Spain and abroad and will have a direct impact “on more than 22,000 people”.

The evaluation to choose the projects receiving the aid was carried out “taking into account the potential to improve the needs of the beneficiary group of the project, the technical, economic and management feasibility of the project and its possibilities of continuity in the future” . In addition, all organizations “should have their accounts audited” and it was taken into account when making the assessment that they were accredited by the Lealtad Foundation.
