The mystery of the white angels: who is «the Venetian Banksy»?

Who is the author of the white angels fallen in the Vicenza area? The story is of these days, well reconstructed since “Corriere del Veneto“. To Arcugnanocommon green – Just 8 thousand souls – in the province of Vicenza some angels appeared in the form of artistic installations. We are currently on two reports.

The first – one huge white silhouette – appeared on an arm of the iron cross that is above the remains of one of the town’s towers: apparently it looks like a man looking down. Who managed to install such a work 15 meters high? And why did he do it? Nobody in the village knows, the mayor has also launched a petition, unanswered for now.

Last February 13th a new great “white angel” has appeared in the area, in the waters of Lake Fimon: this time the mannequin is only half visible, probably the shape has been fixed on the bottom but it is not yet known what material it is made of. On the body, it seems, excerpts from a Morgan song.

The legends in the area begin to multiply: who is the mysterious author? What do you want to communicate? Vittorio Sgarbi – questioned on the matter by the local press – compared the two works to Bansky’s “Venetian raids”.
