The June 14 summit will take place shortly after the Allies decided to begin withdrawing their troops from Afghanistan on May 1, with the goal of withdrawing completely by September 11. The countries with the most troops in Afghanistan are the United States, Germany, Turkey, Britain and Italy. Germany seeks to complete its withdrawal as early as July.
