The Netherlands wants to deliver German PzH 2000 self-propelled guns to Ukraine, said Kaisa Olongren, the country’s defense minister, who said Berlin agreed that both sides were in the final stages of talks.
According to the German Press Agency (dpa), Germany wants to support the delivery of PzH 2000 with training and ammunition. These cannons are manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall and can hit targets up to 40 kilometers away. Ukraine currently has 54 self-propelled guns.
The Dutch minister did not specify how many guns will be delivered. “This is a limited number,” the Dutch news agency ANP reported.
