After the Powerful CEOs demand to reveal names of Harvard students who signed anti-Israel letter on the new war conflict in the Middle East, one professor of law from the University of California, Berkeley, urges law firms not to hire students who have made anti-Israel comments.
Steven Davidoff Solomon, a professor specializing in business and financial law, wrote in one article fthe Wall Street Journal that law firm Winston & Strawn did the right thing when it revoked a hire for a NYU law students, who publicly condemned Israel for going to war with the Palestinians after Hamas attacks on the Jewish state.
“Legal employers in the hiring process should do what Winston & Strawn did: treat these law students as adults. If a student advocates hatred, dehumanization, or anti-Semitism, don’t hire them,” Solomon wrote. “When students face consequences for their actions, they are punished.”
If a student endorses hatred, it is not only your right but your duty not to hire him. Do you want your clients represented by someone who condones these monstrous crimes? asks Steven Davidoff Solomonhttps://t.co/9RQkZovKHL
