TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for his accurate predictions about Apple products, has shared insider information on the changes that are expected on the iPhone in the coming years.
In particular, it was about the improved camera of new smartphones. The analyst claims that Apple will finally add a periscope camera to the iPhone in 2023, as well as a new lens with eight plastic lenses. The performance of such a lens is 10-20% better than a lens with seven plastic lenses. Largan is expected to be the main supplier of such lenses.

The periscope module has been successfully implemented in flagship smartphones such as Huawei P40, Samsung S21 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition and so on. It provides users with high quality optical zoom.
As for smartphones due this year, Min-Chi Kuo confirms the availability of updated ultra-wide angle camera lenses in the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max. They will use lenses with six plastic lenses. The number of lenses will be increased to seven next year.
The presentation of the iPhone 13 is expected in September this year.
