The new MacBook Air gets vibrant colors and the latest M2 processor

When Apple officially unveiled its latest M2 processor, it immediately became clear that insider data about the release of the new MacBook Air laptop turned out to be true. Indeed, the company has announced a new gadget in four new colors with a body design that almost completely copies the MacBook Pro (there is even a cutout in the screen). The novelty, of course, turned out to be thinner than its predecessor – by as much as 20%, but the legs, apparently, were not taken into account. In addition, the rumor about the return of everyone’s favorite MagSafe magnetic charger also turned out to be true, so it will now be difficult to accidentally remove the charger from the laptop.

The manufacturer also worked on the display – the new generation MacBook Air has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina screen, which is 25% brighter and more saturated than the previous generation.

The camera has also been improved – now it captures more light (twice), so the picture should be noticeably better.

And in such a thin case, Apple managed to cram four speakers at once that support Spatial Audio.

But the main feature of the new gadget, of course, is its performance. The laptop is 38% faster in video editing compared to the M1, and 20% faster in terms of image processing and filters.

At the same time, the laptop was deprived of active cooling, so the potential buyer will not hear the howl of the cooler, and the battery life of the new device is 18 hours.
