In April, the series continue to be released, and the intensity of the premieres will only increase. First, it’s worth noting that viewers will finally get to see the series finale of Better Call Saul and the second part of the fourth season of Ozark. Secondly, many interesting premieres are expected. On the first day, the series Slow Horses will be released, where Gary Oldman played the leading role. Toward the middle of the month, the western Far Reach with Josh Brolin will appear on the screens. By the end of April, premieres will be pouring in one by one: a religious detective with Andrew Garfield, a fantastic thriller with Elisabeth Moss, a historical drama with Sean Penn and many other series, which are discussed later in the article.

In the center of the plot is the head of the “penalty department” Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman (by the way, for him this is the first regular role in the series in his entire career). Another batch of agents who failed the task falls under his wing. They have to rake up the most boring cases with a bunch of paperwork. The management expects that most of them will quit themselves before anyone, when the time comes to review their punishment. However, by chance, it is Lamb’s department that is able to deal with one dangerous situation that arose literally out of nowhere.

“Gas Light” (Gaslit)
- Platform: STARZ.
- Release date: April 24th.
Gaslight is a drama series that tells the story of the scandal of 1972-1974, when it suddenly became clear that Richard Nixon and the Republicans, with the help of special services, were eavesdropping on everything that was going on in the camp of his opponents – in the campaign headquarters of the Democratic Party. This went down in history as the Watergate scandal. The series will center on John Mitchell, US Attorney General and Nixon’s henchman, as well as his wife Martha, a socialite who was one of the first to draw attention to Nixon’s meddling in the election race. Then the fairy tale of a democratic country in which rigged elections are impossible, and other patriotic slogans of America, began to crumble right before the eyes of the whole world. The leading roles in the series were played by Oscar-winning Sean Penn and Julia Roberts. Also on the screen you can see the increasingly popular Dan Stevens, as well as Patton Oswald and other interesting actors.
“Billy the Kid” (Billy the Kid)
- Platform: Epix.
- Release date: April 24th.

So, “Billy the Kid” is another attempt to tell about the fate of William Henry McCarthy, who took the nickname baby Billy. For eight hour-long episodes, the creators of the series promise to show the whole truth about this Wild West character. From his Irish roots and work as a cowboy and gunslinger for the government, to the Lincoln County War and “forced” criminal activity. Also in the series will appear another famous bandit – Jesse Evans. He was active in crime even before the war, and after meeting Billy, he went completely off the chain.

The leadership of the Baltimore police instructs the commander of a special squad dealing with tracking weapons and drugs, Sergeant Wayne Jenkins, to sort out the situation. Of course, he himself is not too clean-handed, but the swamp into which his detachment will have to plunge will turn out to be deeper than anyone could have imagined. A Mormon detective (who, incidentally, is played by Andrew Garfield, who won his first Golden Globe in 2022 for his role in the musical Tick-Tock, Boom!) begins an investigation that will shake his faith in a higher power. All leads lead to a respected family from Utah that adheres to Mormon fundamentalism. Followers of this movement believe they can communicate directly with God. And two suspects are sure that the murder was approved by higher powers.

So, Kirby’s life is now constantly changing: either her pet is a cat, then a dog, then she has a short haircut, then with long hair. And for everyone else, these changes do not exist, because for them it has always been so. Once in the city there is another murder associated with the same maniac. Kirby then teams up with veteran reporter Dan Velasquez to put an end to this madness once and for all.
