In New York now everyone dreams of being able to buy the attic of the Silk Builing, in the heart of Nohojust put on the market by Compass for $ 6.995 million: not only because it is a mind-boggling house, built on the top floor of this historic building that was once a silk factory, but also because over the years hosted super stars.
The first owner – as TopTenRealEstateDeals revealed – was Cher, who bought it just when the building was transformed into a residential one, and then sold it to the record producer Russell Simmonswhich in turn sold it to Britney Spears. The pop star lived there for four years, and this is where she wrote Toxic, one of her most famous songs that even earned her a Grammy. It was she who gave a special touch to the attic, which now consists of two adjoining apartments that she has joined together.
In all 360 square meterswith four bedrooms and as many bathrooms, there is un open space with ceilings almost four meters high with a living room with sitting area and wood-burning fireplace and a fully equipped open kitchen. The highlight certainly is the terrace of 40 meters with insane views of the Empire State Building, Greenwich Village and New York’s most romantic sunsets as it faces west.
All, needless to say, with extra-luxury finishes, including parquet in fine wood and white marble in the bathrooms. The neighbors are okay – as the announcement specifies – Noho is one of the favorite areas of celebs in Manhattan.
Here are the photos of the attic:
