WhatsApp has begun distributing the next messenger update to users participating in the beta testing program. This update, numbered version 2.21.5.4 on Android, introduces an updated media sharing menu.
As shown in the screenshots, the text input area was placed in an oval. The icon for adding media files is now inside this oval. Slightly changed the symbol for sending a file and a message. Its size has been reduced, it has been aligned to the text entry area. Finally, the position of the recipient’s name has changed. It was moved from the lower left to the lower right.
As we previously reported, the app has also recently started testing the ability to mute videos before submitting. Moreover, the iOS version of the app is testing a new logout option.
