An entire evening dedicated to beauty with the exceptional opening of thousands of places of art, at the – symbolic – cost of just one euro: here it is European Museum Night that on 3 July will also involve Italy, with unmissable events all over the country dedicated to passionate visitors who have not missed the appointment for years.
The event is now a tradition: born in 2005 on input from the French Ministry of Culture, with the patronage of Unesco, the Council of Europe and the ICOM (International Council of Museums), the European Night of Museums has been repeated since then, and every time it is a success, not only for the symbolic cost of the entrance ticket that invites you to participate, but also for the special events organized out of hours by the participating structures, which have always been designed for all ages and which this year, after months of closure due to pandemic, they are also an opportunity to relaunch
For example, in Campania, al Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte (in Naples) until 10.30 pm there will be meetings with the artists and guided tours of the exhibition Raphael in Capodimonte, while at the Royal Palace of Caserta The Royal Apartments will also remain open to the public until late, to be visited with a special musical accompaniment. Even the ruins of Pompeii can be visited until 11pm. In Veneto, then, also the Civic Museums of Venice with the extraordinary evening opening, among others, of Palazzo Ducale and the Carlo Goldoni House Museum.
One euro will also be enough to see the wonders of Florence out of hours – among the state museums participating in the event there are Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia Gallery, the Bargello Museum and the Opificio delle Pietre Dure museum – and those of Milan, where, among others, the Brera ‘s picture gallery. Finally, in Rome, even the museums join the Night of the Museums Stables of the Quirinale with the exhibition Tota Italy. At the origins of a nation.
