The normalization of monetary policy should go hand in hand with the normalization of the economy – Luis de Guindos

The Vice-President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Luis de Guindos, made a statement to the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, stating that the central bank could start thinking about phasing out emergency stimulus measures once the economy picks up and 70% of the adult population is vaccinated.

“The normalization of monetary policy should go hand in hand with the normalization of the economy,” de Guindos said in the interview with the newspaper.
