The nostalgia of Charlène of Monaco, who from South Africa thinks about her wedding with Alberto

Nostalgia for Charlene of Munich for the children and the husband becomes more and more intense. The princess, who is continuing in South Africa the convalescence after head surgery suffered last June, she posted on Instagram the video of her “dear friend” Alouise singing one song for her special. It is about My Whole Heart by the South African group Romanz, song that accompanied her and Alberto on their wedding day, July 2, 2011. “Charlene, this is for you, since Pretoria,” Alouise said before picking up the guitar and starting to sing.

A sweet thought, to which the princess replied: “My dear friend, thank you for remembering our wedding song. With all my heart”.

The princess’s romantic post also seemed like a public message to reiterate that the bond with Alberto is getting stronger, despite the distance. Charlène has in fact been stuck in South Africa since the beginning of the year, when she went to her hometown to promote a project related to safeguarding rhinos, endangered due to poaching. During the trip she contracted an ENT infection that several times forced her to go under the knife, most recently on 24 June.

Because of this she could no longer return to Munich, not even on the occasion of the celebrations of 10th wedding anniversary with Alberto. But to her husband, through the South African online magazine News 24, he dedicated words to honey: “Alberto is the main pillar of my life and my strength, without his love and support I could not have overcome this very painful moment. It was a challenge for me, I miss my husband and my children. ‘

Then, two weeks ago, Charlène went back to showing herself in public for the first time after the head operation by posting on Instagram some photos that portray her while, from South Africa, she talks on a video call with her two children, the six-year-old twins. Jacques e Gabriella. While talking on the cell phone with the children the princess smiles, ma the look is melancholy.

Meanwhile, Prince Albert flew to Tokyo to represent the Principality of Monaco at the Olympic Games. Charlène was unable to accompany him. And this – for her, who in 2000 participated in the Sydney Olympics with the South African women’s swimming team in the 100m medley – is probably another source of immense sadness.
