A man returned to his neighborhood to find that his home was the only one not destroyed by the Eaton Fire in Altadena, California. Enrique Balcazar captured the devastation in a video he posted on Facebook. “From what I can see, all the houses on my block have burned except mine,” he said in the video. Balcazar was fighting not to burst into tears as he walked home. “What did I do to deserve this? I don’t know. I don’t think I deserve it, but God bless everyone else,” he said in the video. Balcazar said in the video that he didn’t know if his home was covered by insurance. But he did have some fire damage to the outside wall of his garage. At least 25 people have been killed and more than 12,000 structures have been destroyed in some of the worst fires to ravage America’s second-largest city, according to the BBC.
