Cybele and Marcinho
Cibele, who was truly to blame for killing Sérgio, considered turning herself in to the police. In a conversation with Marcinho, the character made it clear that she ended the villain’s life to protect her son, who was being attacked by the militiaman.
Afraid of seeing his mother arrested, the boy decided to contact the police, but ended up having an accident on his way to the police station.
At the hospital, he underwent surgery, came out alive and confessed to Lorraine the truth about Sérgio’s death — which she had not known until then.
As a way of protecting her son, Cibele decided to take Marcinho to the countryside. During their escape, they also took with them all the money that Sérgio kept in his safe.
Rachel and Paul
After finding a bloody hammer in his garden, he decided to keep the murder weapon with him. Shortly after, he received a confession from Cibele, who assured him that she had committed the crime to protect her son.
When visiting Marcinho in the hospital, he was part of the conversation that defined who would take responsibility for the crime. At the last minute, when the police chief arrived, he decided to take responsibility for Sérgio’s murder, since he had promised Cibele that he would also protect the character’s son.
With the arrest of the real estate agent, Paul (Sérgio Guizé) was completely desperate. As soon as he visited her in prison, he promised to wait for her, remaining locked outside.
Maria and Kevin
While responding to the lawsuit in freedom, Maria (Mariana Nunes) even stated that Paulo was the one who should have died instead of Sérgio. When she arrived home and met Kevin (Cauê Campos) again, the character heard her son’s anger, who lamented having to always take care of his mother. While the young man cried, the two hugged, forgiving each other.
Joana and Lorraine
As soon as she discovered that Cibele was responsible for killing Sérgio, Lorraine burst into tears and assured that, even though she hated the character, he was still her father. Having difficulty forgiving Marcinho and his mother, she left the hospital.
In the final moments of the series, Cibele even advises her son to call his girlfriend to let her know he is moving. Meanwhile, Joana, who also showed great suffering over her husband’s death, continued to live in the condominium with her daughter and grandson.
Mrs. Regina
After moving into the house where her grandson lived, Regina (Walderez de Barros) terrorized the neighbors and even Joana’s life. After refusing to return a ball to a child, Sérgio’s grandmother died suddenly while taking care of Lorraine’s son.
Mr. Durval
Worried about his cat, Durval (Luis Lobianco) managed to get his pet back and live peacefully in the condominium again.
