The passenger transport equivalent is paid immediately until February 2022

After the approval of the relevant financing credits of the Ministry of Development and Investments to the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, the payment of the Passenger Transport Equivalent to the beneficiaries, totaling 12.5 million euros, is immediately promoted. The payments in question concern applications for the financing of passenger movements for the Fourth Quarter of the year 2021, as well as the First Half of the year 2022.

In particular, the competent Services of the General Secretariat of the Aegean and Islands Policy are already processing the lists for clearing the payments and final payment of the Transport Equivalent to the beneficiaries. The crediting of the accounts of the beneficiaries is expected to start gradually from Monday 29/08/2022.

The General Secretariat of the Aegean and Island Policy has already ensured the continuation of the measure for the coming years, within the framework of the Y.NA.N.P Sectoral Development Program. 2021-2025, with a committed budget, while simultaneously taking the necessary actions to ensure the flow of payments, in cooperation with the co-competent Ministries of Finance and Development and Investments.

As for the Transport Equivalent of businesses and fuels, the relevant K.Y.A. for the year 2022 are at the stage of signatures by the co-competent ministries and publication in the Official Gazette, while at the same time actions are being taken to provide relevant credits to be repaid by the beneficiary businesses and citizens.
